Life Warrior Training is unlike anything you can get somewhere else. Rather than just working you out, we will focus on helping you re-frame your health and fitness practice.

Think of it as what personal training should be. In the 8 years I, John Austin Foster, have been in the industry, I’ve worked thousands of people out. I’ve had people invest thousands of dollars and many hours of their time, who inevitably go back to there old ways once they are done with the training.

I’ve created Life Warrior to address the problem with the health and fitness industry at large, which is that conventional programs re-enforce a faulty paradigm of what true health, happiness, and strength really are. Most t.v. ads, magazines, and health articles tell you that you must look or be a certain way to be happy, loved, and accepted.

Warrior training completely turns the modern paradigm on its head by teaching that the practice of training is much more important than the end results!

Furthermore, we have developed a curriculum based off of Rob McNamara’s book Strength to Awaken, which will walk you through the process of transforming your practice into Body-Mind-Moment Training (BMT) or Warrior Training.

So what will you experience with your Life Warrior Coach?

Life Warrior Coaching is about, first of all, working with your currently held belief systems and overall relationship with your fitness practice. The relationship and paradigm of your practice must shift in order for you to be truly successful in your program.

This is why coaching and meditation are the first two components in our program. Our coaching helps you cultivate a Warrior’s View which will provide drive and meaning in your practice. Mindfulness will help you connect your body/mind into whatever is arising here and now, so you can begin to work with long held belief systems and thought patterns that are working against you.

Once these two have been established, we’ll most likely move into Yoga. Yoga is a very old tradition of yoking body and mind together. It also largely deals with the breath and flexibility in the body, which is essential for reducing injuries and also maximizing what we get out of our strength practice.

Next we’ll move into your Full Body Training. Full body training may encompass any number of training activities, however, the overall warrior philosophy is that a warrior can train anywhere and at anytime. Therefore, our full body training is mostly minimalist training which primarily deals with the Jungle Gym XT, Power Wheel II, kettlebells, pull ups, push ups, and any number of body weight exercises.

Lastly, we will move into Plant Based Nutrition. Our nutrition program is primarily about listening to your body and also taking in foods that do the most good and least amount of harm to yourself, the environment, and other sentient creatures. We believe in an inside-out approach to nutrition, in which we will encourage you to use mindfulness to listen to your body and give it what it needs.

As you can see, Life Warrior Training is a fully encompassing program which is meant to bring more health, happiness, and peace to your everyday life. Warrior Training is about much more than just looking better. It is about training you to live life to the fullest, which means learning to engage the aliveness of every moment
