Life Warrior Training is centered around the most powerful tool you have, the power of your mind. Most conventional programs fail to harness the power of the mind and, therefore, fail to address currently held beliefs, habits, and paradigms that are working against you. What exactly is Life Warrior Coaching?
Life Warrior Coaching is a more focused aspect of Life Warrior Fitness. While our fitness program focuses on minimalist and fun, functional training, our coaching program teaches you how to view the world differently and how to live differently.
Life Warrior Coaching aims to transform how we view health and fitness by making a health program about more than just conventional goals, ex. weight loss, hypertrophy, reduced blood pressure, bone density, etc.. While these are all ideal outcomes, we also want to help clients become warriors who are happier individuals, who cultivate well being and peace within themselves, and who will inevitably bring that presence into the world around them. And by doing these things or I should say by being happier and more present, we change the world!
A lot of people want nothing to do with conventional gymnasiums and conventional training but have no alternative. Life Warrior offers that alternative.
What does your coaching program consist of?
Our program consists of training the mind and the body together through Body-Mind-Moment Training, or what we like to call, Warrior Training.
How do we do this?
First of all, we work with you on creating integrative lifestyle changes that are realistic for your schedule and resources. This is where the coaching aspect of our program comes in! We will work with you each session on big picture thinking and also on examining your long held belief systems that are holding you back.
We will set not only end goals but also process oriented objectives for your practice. An example of a process objective may be to cultivate a better relationship to your exercise and health through examining your belief systems and by using mindfulness to be aware of your body and to live more fully in the moment.
By teaching you to meditate, we will train you how to transform your body/mind from the inside-out. Rather than moving, exercising, or eating because an external program tells you to do so, we want you to find what is right for yourself by being truly alive to what is healthy for your body.
We also practice yoga to establish a mind/body connection and to create better flexibility and alignment in your body/mind. Yoga benefits you in so many other ways, but most importantly it teaches you to yoke your mind and body into the Now.
We workout and move! Most beneficially, we teach you how to live and play in your body, how to stay with your breath, and how to manifest proper form. We teach you how you can workout anywhere and hardly need to stay in the box of what most personal training programs offer.
Lastly, our Life Warrior Coaching program consists of helping you establish a lifestyle of peacefulness and health which will carry with you wherever you go.
What makes this program different?
Think of Life Warrior Coaching as a program that will give you the tools, insight, and strength to get beyond conventional ways of looking at your fitness and health. Real strength is not necessarily the ability to lift a heavier weight but rather the ability to Be with whatever is arising in the present moment. That means painful emotions as well as “painful” feelings from working out. However, stop interpreting those “painful” feelings as good or bad but rather observe them as they are. Everything in life is teaching us something, it is up to us to listen to what that something is.
So here are a few things that you will learn from our Warrior Training. To be happy in the here and now; To realize that movement is an expression of life; To truly make lifestyle the number one aim of your new health program. You may also learn, to run freely and without pain. You will learn new skills in movement. You will learn to get in touch with your body and to understand it. You will learn to breath properly and to use the breath as a support for your training and practice.
So you can see that Life Warrior is about much more than just a Jillian Michael’s workout.
Do I have to incorporate every component?
The integration of all our components makes Life Warrior a truly unique program and we encourage you to engage in each one: Warriors View, Mindfulness, Yoga, Full Body Training, and Whole Foods Nutrition.
However, we are also interested in giving you an integrative program that is realistic for your lifestyle. Therefore, if you only have time for 1 or 2 components, then that is the direction we will take in your coaching program.
Our goal is to help you change your paradigm and change your life and not to overwhelm you or give you more than you can handle.
Our entire society focuses on wanting big muscles and hot bodies through new workout programs, weight loss programs, diets, etc. yet America is the most overweight nation in the world. The problem here is that we are missing the point entirely.
The paradox is that by not focusing on the end goal but rather on enjoying the process and on growing mentally, spiritually, and physically, you will get the results you want and probably more than you expected. Let me be clear, there is nothing wrong with looking good and feeling great! The solution lies in your approach to health and fitness.
Having said this, you can absolutely set end goals. However, after learning the Life Warrior philosophy, you may want to set as many if not more process oriented goals than final aims. This will help you be successful in your journey rather than quitting because you didn’t attain certain physical dimensions.
So for your journey to a better looking body, we challenge you to get there the Life Warrior way. You can always go back to dieting and conventional approaches if our philosophy and training doesn’t work for you.
